The Core Facility for Bioinformatics offers several types of services:

 

Software as a Service (SAAS)

The CFB houses several bioinformatics software that could be used to quality check, assess, assemble, and generate relevant information from sequencing data.  A vast resource of bioinformatics  databases are also available.

 

Platform as a Service (PAAS)

The Core Facility for Bioinformatics houses several state-of-the-art high performance computing systems. Clients will be able to access our system from anywhere, anytime, and submit jobs easily using our queing method.

Storage Services

​

In addition to our computing systems, the Core Facility for Bioinformatics also offers high performance storage capable of archiving terabytes of data for long periods of time. These storage systems are designed for fast and efficient archiving, with built-in redundancy to guarantee no loss of data.

 

Custom Services

The Core Facility for Bioinformatics is made up of a team of specialists trained to help our clients address their bioinformatics needs. Custom services include:

1. Scripting and data processing

2. Workflow design and development

3. Running specific bioinformatics tasks

4. Assistance in proposal preparation

5. Trainings fit to the needs of the clients.

 

The CFB is also open to projects involving high performance computing and applications development.
